30. David P. Becker born 16 June 1773 in Albany, New York, baptized 12 September 1773 in Albany, New York, died 19 March 1813 in New York, married 12 March 1795 in Schuylerville, New York. When first married, they lived on a farm in the fields up back of his father, Peter Becker's place. Later, they lived on the river bank just below the ferry then owned by her grandfather, Martin Van Buren. David lies buried in the old Peter Becker burial plot, but his stone sunk into the ground many years ago.

31. Gertrude (Gitty) Van Buren born 11 February 1774 in New York, baptized 29 May 1774 at First Dutch Reformed Church in Albany, New York, died 30 October 1846 at the farm home of her second husband. Gitty's stone reads:

"Gitta
wife of Jessee Rich, died October 30, 1846
in the 74th year of her age.
Behold my friends as you pass by
As you are now so once was I
As I am now so you will be
Prepare for death and follow me."

Gitty named many of her children, as their middle name, "Van Schaick" her mother's maiden name. It was said that "Gitty forgot about her six Becker children and her Dutch relatives when she married Rich and disappeared up the mountain road and that they never saw her though they lived but a mile or two apart". (See section on Van Buren for further information)
